Summer is really here now in the Northern hemisphere. To celebrate and mark this time of the year we have Summer Solstice on Friday. A time to honor the longest day and shortest night of the year. Here in Sweden, it is celebrated with flowers in the hair, eating the dish that always comes out with our old traditions, pickled herring and off course strawberries as desert at summertime. It’s a festive day established from pagan rituals.
The whole week though has a healing aspect connected to the sun peaking on Friday to remind us to celebrate the nourishing light of the Sun and the light within each of us. So needed in these days. When the world is upside down, its even more important to keep that light, and love, when possible, for all those who are in another situation. To not feed the opposite energy.
